How to use curlers in long straight hair?

I have frizzy curly hair that I flat iron. I love it, but would like to make it sexy by using rollers (which I've never done before!). So I will be starting with dry hair. What kind of roller do I use? What size? How do I roll each area of my head? What products should I by for this process? Thank you!!!

get some large sized curlers. put some mousse in your hair along with some gel- but you don't have to do that, it just helps the curl stay longer. wrap your hair around them away from your face. wait about 10 minutes then take out the curlers. run your fingers through your hair and gently shake out your hair to break up the curls and make them soft. this method always works with long hair. good luck! xox

Buy yourself some heated rollers. Try the babyliss ones - fantastic.

Just switch them on till they heat up - usually within a few mins - then take a section of hair and comb through, take a roller (size - depending on the size of curls you want), hold at the hair end and roll to the head and fix in place witht he pins or clips provided. Then move on to the next section will you have done your full head of hair. Leave for the desired amount of time. I like to leave mine in for aound an hour for long lasting curls.

When removing, remove clip and roll roller out of hair - whatever you do do not tug the roller out as this will cause frizziness. Seperate curls in desired strand thickness and sprag with hairspray to hold in place.

Voila - sexy curls complete

Bit trycky at first but practice makes perfect. Try before a big night-out to be sure you're doing it right.

Good Luck ;-)

Firstly as you say your hair is frizzy, i would recommend using the john frieda frizz ease product line.

For a longer lasting result, i would set your hair from towel-dry as this will also help keep the hair smooth.

Whatever size roller you choos is the size the curls will be, so it's up to u whether u want large bouncy curls or tight curls.

Use small sections, about half a centimentre wide, and the same length as the roller you are using. Apply some mousse to hold the hair and serum to eliminate frizz and add shine.

Before you wind the roller, comb the section so that it is smooth, and wind from the ends of the hair upwards (If you want spiral curls do the sections vertically), or if you want extra volume, wind the roller from the roots, winding the rest of the hair around the roller.

If your hair is towel-dry, you need to use a hairdryer until it's BONE dry (or they won't set) and then let the rollers cool down before you unwind. (same for a dry-set). I add a spritz of hairspray whilst they are still in for extra hold.

Finally, gently unwind the rollers, for sexy, bouncy curls!

You can then use a shine spray to add gloss without weighing the curls down (believe it or not asdas own is great for this) and a little extra hairspray.

Good Luck! :-)
